Hmm, I would say to monitor her for a bit. Like keep an eye out for anything that seems weird. Visit this link. It might help you. http://www.redearslider.com/index_health.html

do u think it might be becauase of her new environment?
Is the sand washed properly??
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 548AAwOXzQ

try enticing her with food that smells "attractive" to a turtle.. i believe some ppl use tuna (not sure about that one you gotta look it up).

is she getting proper vitamins?

noobempty is talking about the RI.
Respiratory infection: Lethargy, wheezing, excessive mucus.

Causes: Bacterial infection of the respiratory tract. Poor water quality, incorrect temperature.
Treatment: Veterinary attention required, most likely anti biotic injections.

If he doesnt have all of these symptoms then its not that bad.. however you gotta keep the environment clean and at correct temp. so that his immunity can fight off the infection. i suggest you get rid of the sand. =\

hope i helped

thnx again ami .... ill update u guyz on today`s progress .... azfar suggested me to transfer keechu back to her old aquarium which was without sand ... so i did tht and keechu looks better today alhamdolilah ....as she woke up this mornin she looked a bit hyper to me and water temp was same as it was in new aqua 77-80 F ... so i think maybe the sand wasnt washed properly and the internal filter was causing sand to float here nd there which might be causing keechu breathin probs ... anyhow im still gonna monitor her few more days in this old aqua and if shez bak to 100% ill transfer her to new aqua after some time cuz dnt want to stress her .... and she was hyper today for food and splashed water and as soon as i gave her few pellets she ate them in secs ( which i think is a good sign) .... and as i transfer her bak to her old aqua she wasnt stessed nd acted normal as if she knew thts its her old aqua since she behaved normal nd didnt take her even a sec to adjust bak to the old aqua ..... ty fr all yr help every1 i really really appreciate it! without u guyz nothin wudve been possible fr me .... i will update u guyz again at the end of the day or tmr (hopefully wid a good news) :D

well guyz after monitoring keechu fr 1-2 more days now ... she still opens her mouth and i have noticed tht she does tht as if something is inside her which is bothering her ... and suddenly she opens her mouth big time and then within a micro sec she takes her neck in nd then out again (which was clear to me tht something is inside her maybe) just like we try to vomit so tht messy thing inside us comes out nd we r out of misery nd pain .... anyhow keechu did tht and then i saw something whitish coming out frm her mouth like a flake transparent thing which was a bit white in color and everytime she does tht tht wierd whitish thing comes out its very small ..... dnt knw wt tht is ... can it b mucus or somethin?

Do you live near a PetSmart?
If you need a vet then use this: http://www.yext.com/vets/services/reptiles/
Works well if you live in the US.

If you put her in the water and she floats then it's an RI. If it's an RI then I would suggest dry docking her and give her a 15 minute salt bath everyday using aquarium salt.

Could be shedding... let's not worry too much right now. Does she go back to normal in her old tank?
