shdwrvn13, Diego is small for his age. That's why I suggested having him tested for internal parasites as they can keep a turtle from growing. Of course, other things could be causing it too.

he is very small for his age, i know. he's had the RI for 3 months now and after the medication still is no better, if he lives to when i can afford it again, im taking him to the vet as im sure he must have parasites.

It's good to have him checked, but it is possible he's just a small turtle. One of my eastern painteds was the runt of the clutch, came out of the nest with an underdeveloped shell and was extremely small. He continues to grow very slowly and is noticeably lighter than his siblings. He has been to a vet and did have his stool checked for parasites, but was found not to have any.

I do now (have experience with a hatchling and RI) and I feel even with my limmited 3 visits to the vet I could give advice (my opinion and experience) on it, so let me know if it is happening to you.
