ugh..I dont know if I should be worried or not, but this morning I saw a little bit of blood on my turtles dock, he is seperated from my female so I know for sure that he wasnt bitten again. I called up dr. kramer and he told me that it is normal and as long as his penis wasnt hanging out (unable to go back in) and he was acting normal, then I should not worry..he said its not unusual for him to bleed a little even if this all took place on thursday, but if it happens for more than a week, then I should worry.

Ugh I dont know. This guy is supposedly "the" man to go for iguanas, turtles etc. Am I worrying for nothing?

That sounds like reasonable advice to me. As with any kind of wound, especially in an area that doesn't get much exposure, there might tend to be some bleeding for a little while. As long as you don't see a lot of puss or discolored discharge with it. Just make sure to keep the water clean. But seeing how the wound is on an organ that is retracted internally, it shouldn't be too affected by the environment I would think. As long as his immune system is functioning properly he should be able to heal find on his own.

no. the vet didnt think it was neccesary, he only gave him a small dose of baytril via injection.

I'll keep you guys updated.
