Well, as Toto was your pet, I suppose it's your call as to what you do with him- whatever makes you the most comfortable is the best choice, whether that's placing him by a lake or burying him in the backyard, or something else altogether.... so sorry she didn't make it :-(

Was that Toto in your avatar? S/he was a cute little thing and I'm really sorry to hear you lost him. If you don't want to bury him in the back yard, try to find a nice secluded place to put him at rest. Bury him deep enough so that no animals can dig him up.

With such lack of growth, it could have been something congenital that caused such quick death. Again, I'm sorry. If you plan to get another turtle in the future, though, please do some reading to improve the habitat.

awww poor little guy! why don't you bury him near a local pond or stream and then plant a little tree in ur backyard as a little memorial. just a thought. in the event that the little guy is just really really sick i'd keep him in a box with a dry towel and a heat lamp on him through the night. sorry to hear about it though. :-(

Yes Toto is my avatar.

Toto is definetly gone.....my family grows a lot of fruits and vegetables in our backyard...almost every corner....and I don't think my grandmother would like me to bury Toto in the backyard!! i might just place Toto near a pond or lake of some sort. Unless I could ask my mom to bury Toto somewhere...I'm sure I have a spot somewhere in my backyard where there aren't any fruits....

Thanks for all the concern you guys....it really is sad.
