Urgent Care :: Need help my turtle is missing a limb

I knew this girl and she once found a baby turtle and it had ONE leg and the rest were stumps. it was stuggling so she took it in and his name is stumpy :) He seems to be doing well. I havn't seen him for a while. I cant remember what kind of turlte it is. But he can still get around. He has on full leg and three half/ sorta stump legs. But hes doing fine:)

I have a turtle now that have only 3 legs the 4th is a deformed leg but he swims and gets around fine he is a little more shy when he is being handled then the other but he will get use to us
I have 5 RES, 2 ASN, and 1 DBT

They can get along fine with a missing limb. Turtles in the wild can as well if the wound heals without infection.

I'm curious as to how a captive turtle lost his leg in the first place. I know there are some diseases that can cause something like that to happen.

mine has the limb but it is deformed, he is able to move it and trys to use it like a normal leg
