I notices 2-3 days ago (after water change), by RES had a milky film covering his eyes. Now he is not eating, cannot open eye lids. Eyes appear to be enlarged and lids are closed. He appeared pretty healthy before the water change. Head/shell seems to be sloughing skin. Real strange. He's about the size of a silver dollar, 10 gal tank (7-8 gal of water), basking dock/light, water temp about 78-80 degrees.

there are a number of posts regarding this same thing. When you did the water change did you use a conditioner? It may just be that his eyes are irritated. I believe others have used the eye drops for turtles to help this.

Try the Zoo-Med turtle eye drops...it's available at most pet stores.

Follow the directions. If he doesnt improve, or gets worse he may need a vet......
