A few days ago we noticed on of the turtles was missing from teh tank. Our tank is by a window that was left open so we thought maybe a neighborhood cat or soemthing got him since we could not locate him on the floor anywhere in the room or outside. Today we found him in the living room and I think our dog got to him as his back legs are not loving well and his shell has a large missing piece from the top where I can now see blood and white. He is swimming with front legs

I called around and could not find any help in town. What do I do?

You need to take him to a reptile vet ASAP. Use the links in the sticky on locating one. Where are you located?

In the meantime, maybe the info here can be of some help: http://www.home.earthlink.net/~rednine/firsaid.htm

But try to find him a vet.

My turtle did the same thing too last time, but I don't have any other pets except turtles and lots of fish. I found mine in my living room carpet staring at me. :)
