Urgent Care :: Hurt Turtle

A few days ago we noticed on of the turtles was missing from teh tank. Our tank is by a window that was left open so we thought maybe a neighborhood cat or soemthing got him since we could not locate him on the floor anywhere in the room or outside. Today we found him in the living room and I think our dog got to him as his back legs are not loving well and his shell has a large missing piece from the top where I can now see blood and white. He is swimming with front legs

I called around and could not find any help in town. What do I do?

You need to take him to a reptile vet ASAP. Use the links in the sticky on locating one. Where are you located?

eek! poor turtle. do you know how they got out?

My turtle did the same thing too last time, but I don't have any other pets except turtles and lots of fish. I found mine in my living room carpet staring at me.
