Back to the original topic, how is your turtle doing, mrtoughpants? Has he seen that vet yet?

good news

My step father brought our turtle to a vet today. It took a bit of arguing to convince my mother that it was the best thing to do. The vet took some scans and gave him an injection of Baytril. Apparently it's swelling due to an infection. The crack on the belly healed long ago, the swelling was actually on the opposite side right paw. It took a couple hours to find a vert who dealt with turtles since we live in a small city and the closest thing was Montreal.

Good for you Mr. Tough. You and your step dad went the length and did the right thing by your 10 year old turt. And good for your turtle!!! What's his/her name, by the way?

good job. good luck.
From the homegrowers soul, straight to his lungs. That's the method that I myself find fun. Start from seed and then you'll see, just how fun homegrowing can be.

My mom brought her back for another shot today, we'll give her one more next week. The radiographs didn't show any broken bones nothing. The vet says she was getting pneumonia which explains why she was breathing oddly and swelling. She's walking around now and the swellings slowly going away.

I call em Mr Turtle or Tortue in french :p
