Urgent Care :: ...Baby RES with shell damage??? maybe not urgent..???

Ok.. so here's the deal (well.. not really a deal)

My Charlie went and slept near some rocks.. and the next morning, he was under some rocks.. meaning.. I think somehow the rocks fell on his shell..
The rocks aren't exactly big big big.. but they're about the size of maybe two finger tips?

either ways..there's a slight depression on his shell.. do you think he's okay??

do I need to take him to the vet??

i would take him to the vet just to make sure he's ok,take him as soon as possible.someone with more experience can tell what to do in the meanwhile,good luck and i hope everything comes out ok!

Has the shell been breached? If the area is depressed only and he's acting normally I'd keep an eye on him for any unusual signs. If I noticed anything amiss (or if it turns out the shell has been actually damaged), I'd take him to be checked.

How did rocks fall on him? I'd take them out of the tank.

I wouldn't know.. .. they were just on top of him..

he's acting normal.. but the right hand portion of his shell is slightly depressed..?

I'd keep an eye on him. The depression, is that's all it is, should lessen as he grows.

Is his shell soft? Is there a break in the shell? How long have you had him?
