My turtle hasnt ate nothing for 5 days now, and it just has its head sticking out. all day, and doeanothing. IM worried. She sticks her neck out REALLY far and then she swallows HARD.... like a big gulp, every minute or so.

whats going on?

everythings seems fine in her tank. Water Temp is 75-80

:? if somethings wrong with her... can someone recommend me where to take her, to get care.

Your picture isn't too clear, but the turtle looks awfully lethargic on the basking platform. THe gasping noises usually accompany an RI (respiratory infection... you should increase the water temp to 80-82 until you can get him to a herp vet, which will be neccessary to treat the infection. You can look in the sticky to find a herp vet near you or look up vets in the phone book, just be sure to call around to make sure they treat herps, there's no sense in a vet visit if the vet doesn't know much :-).

You can do a search in google for a herp vet and narrow it down by city and state. (You didn't say where you live.) The turtle does appear to be lethargic in the picture. A vet visit is necessary if the turtle has RI.

A better pic would be good. Is he breathing with his mouth open? There's a post near the top of the Urgent Care forum with links to finding herp vets.

Thanks for the adivce everyone. As soon as I found a vet near my Area. They were closed, but im afraid its too late. I just lost her. She died about an hour ago. : = = (
