i got all the stuff you guys told me to get, i didnt waste that much money.
everything was under 40$!

i found this great pet store a couple of blocks away from me, the guy knew tons of RES info, i got a water heater, a filter, a uv bulb with a setup for it and water conditioner, my yellow bellied slider is acting normal again and my red eared is slowly begining to swim!

Excellent! Now on to your homework/research:

Heres a few sites that come to mind...
http://www.peteducation.com/category_su ... 7&cat=1797
http://www.austinsturtlepage.com/
http://www.freewebs.com/sliderville/
http://www.turtletimes.com/
http://www.uvguide.co.uk/index.htm
http://www.turtlecare.net/index.htm
Most of these sites have care sheets, some have forums, and just about all of them have links to other sites that can help you on your way to learning about your new pals. Good luck!
