Urgent Care :: Blowing Bubbles.

My turtle has bubbles coming out of his nose. When he swims, the bubbles are attatched to his nose. Is this normal? I didn't notice any bubbles when I first got him.

Can you see them coming out of his nose, or are there just bubbles attached to his nose?

Sometimes my turts have bubbles on them right after I clean the tank...when there is still a lot of oxygen in the air.

I don't really notice if it's just attached to his nose, or if he blows them out. I'll take a look after he wakes up. (:

Do you see the bubbles when he's under water or on land? If it's only under water it's normal. With an RI or other illness sometimes there will be bubbles from the nose or mouth but that would be mucous bubbles and would look like snot (for lack of a better word).

Oh, that's great to hear. He only blows bubbles from his nose in the water.
