I recently recieved a little guy about an inch in length. I've noticed a bubble near or on the turtle's nose when submerged. When out of the water it just looks like a dot on the nose. What is this? I am a bit worried at what this is. Should the turtle be brought to a vet? The little guy acts fine, just the bubble on the nose.

Thanks

When mine sleep underwater they always have an air bubble on their nose. Totally normal. Are you sure it's there when he's on land?

I took a closer look. The part I thought I saw while he was on land was actually part of his chin. It juts out a tiny bit. My mistake. Thanks for the info! Now I don't have to worry.

They'll sometimes blow out of their nose when they are about to go underwater, my little turtle Sammy does that and he makes a bubble sound when he goes underwater. It's just one of those things that some of them do, some of them don't.
