I just go an ew lil RES this afternoon and when I put him in his tank all he seems to be doing is sleeping. :( Could it be that he is sick or is he just scared and trying to get used to his new surroundings? Please help!

Hun, he's probably just taking some time to adjust. It tanks the little guys to get use to a new environment.
Give it a few days and see how it goes from there.

How big is your turt? Is he eatting at all? Where'd you get him?

Okay, I tried PMing you but I'm not sure it's working.

He's tiny huh? And he had to travel all the way to you? What is his set-up like now?

Any chance we can get a pic.?

My guess would be that your little guy has been through a lot of stress and just needs to chill out for a few days. Hope all goes well.

Be sure to read the basic care sections of the forum and main site. (click on the link at the top of the page that says (RES basic care) If his tank is setup correctly, then he may need a little time adjusting. If you don't have everything setup correctly it could be affecting him and eventually lead to illness.

Temperatures are very important. If they are too cold then it will slow his metabolism down and all he'll want to do is sleep and not eat. This isn't good and lead to a slow demise. Please ask any questions you may have after you read through the forum. :)

I would also add that at the top of this forum is a list of questions to answer. After answering those, we will have a better idea on what kinds of things to recommend.

It would be good to know what kind of set-up he's in and what the temps (water and basking area) are...Will he eat?
