How big is your turtle? Somewhere between 1.5 and 2 inches
How long have you had it? A little over 3 months

What is the water temperature? 75-78 degrees, although sometimes it goes a little over that do to the warm weather
Are you using a water heater? yes, but it's unplugged right now because it's so warm out
How much water is in there? I have a 55 gallon tank filled a couple inches from the top
Are you using a water conditioner? yes
Are you using any filtration? yes the XP3

What is the basking temperature? around 88-90 degrees
Is there a basking light? yes, both a standard bulb for heat and the UVB
Is there a basking platform that is easy to climb on? yes
Is there a UVB light? yes

What have you been trying to feed it? reptomin turtle sticks, and romain lettuce and other vegetables occassionally, they also have guppies and rosy minows in the tank
When was the last time your turtle ate? I feed them what fits in thier head once daily, she has been eating normally

How big is the tank/pond/enclosure? 55 gallon
Is the tank near a window? no
Is the tank in a room with a lot of activity? some activity but not too much

Have you read the Basic Care section? yes
Have you searched the forums for similar situations? for some reason the search doesnt work for me

Is there any other unusual activity/symptoms? I noticed today that when she swims her butt floats up more than normal, and sometimes she tips a little sideways. For example she'll be swimming straight but her hind end will float up higher than her body sometimes. It doesn't always happen, but until today i've never see this. She can still swim okay like this, but it's not how she normally swims. Her shell looks fine, and everything else seems normal. I'm just worried what this could be if anything?

Couldn't that be RI? I'm not sure, but what I have read on here, it sounds like that...

Watch for other symptoms such as opening mouth breathing, mucus from the nose etc. If you see any of these combined with the listing, get her to a vet.

If there aren't any other symptoms, I'd keep a close eye on her for the next couple of days.

For the time being you can bump the water temp up to 80-82. It will help give the immune system a boost. Also, adjust the basking temp accordingly.

The raised butt could possibly be gas, but I'd keep an eye out for other symptoms.

Keeping the water at a steady 80F for a while would be good. If the heater is one that has an automatic shut off, I'd consider keeping it in the tank for a while to make sure the water is not dropping down to 75F.
