One of my baby turtles had a place one its neck that was sort of a white/yellow spot that looked a bit red sometimes. It also had one right at the corner of its eye. One day it looked a little bit red. Anyways, yesterday when I took them outside to walk around a get sun I saw that the little scab on its neck had pulled loose a bit. So I went ahead and wiped it off and it looks better now. So I went ahead and picked at the one on its eye and a teeny teeny tiny little white/yellow ball of whatever came out and left a little hole (like a pore). Today its fine and I'd never even know it was there in the first place. I compare it to when you have a clogged pore on your skin somewhere and you use Biore or something and get out solidified dirt or something from a pore. Anyways, sounds ick but just wanting to know if anyone else had experienced anything like this. I know I had a guinea pig that had a "lump" and when the skin at the top of the lump split one day and I took her to the vet he squeezed and got out soooo much creamy pus stuff. Then he had to cut the wound bigger to about the size of a quarter and for about 3 months I had to keep the inside of the wound (the muscle is about the texture of gum inside a blow pop so I had to clean all the grooves!) Finally it healed up. I think my other guinea pig has something like this that needs to be treated soon to. Anyways, do turtles get anything like that? And mine should be ok, right?

your turtles can get ear abcesses (I don't know if it is spelled right) Anyway, I don't know much on it, other than it could have to be lanced by a vet. You can do a search on it though, I know there have been some topics on it recently.

I looked at articles on ear abcess with pics. This wasn't in the red "ear" area. It was farther back on the neck (wrinkled part) and in the corner of the eye.

It can still be an abscess. They are just more likely to appear in that area. It could also be an injury... my female RES occasionally gets a small bruise (still don't know how) but it usually heals in a few days.

They can get abcesses anywhere, and they really should be lanced by a vet. Perhaps your turtle had some sort of injury that scabbed over. But I wonder about whatever that was near the eye...
