hello i was wondering if the shell goes through any nateral peeling or anything cause i noticed a little fraying of the very outer shell it does not seem 2 bother him but i just got him and im new to turtles so i was wondering. also what are the signs of soft shell
Turtles shed natuarally as they grow. watch for excessive shedding. If your turtle starts to shed large amounts frequently, lower your water temperature a bit and make sure to provide a basking area. If you're turtle is young (a hatchling) he will have a soft shell for a while. Good luck with your new turtle!
ok thanks cause i saw some flakeing but it just looked like new shell under it ty alot still open to opinions though i like to have alot of info on my pets
