Most people that are part of this forum will not recommend that you buy any turtle via an online seller.

Is there a particular reason why? I'm not sure where else I can purchase one that'll "match" my other 1" turtle. I'm under the impression it's illegal? I got my last set at a carnival... :-\ lol

As far as I know it is illegal to sell turtles under 4". I was sold two that were about 1. I called the cops on them and had them check it out. The website you typed didn't show up. So I'm not sure of the website.

I have a couple of questions.
Why are you so set on getting another one? If you still have one, why not focus your attentions on it?

And, Why would you want to purchase from an online site that people repeated bash on here. It doesn't matter which site it is. Supporting any of them by purchasing their turtles just leads them to raise more...that they don't care for. Your chances of purchasing a sick turtle from any online site I would guess is over 50%.

I'd also question your desire to get a second turtle. I have a few questions... do you have an adequate setup currently for the turtle you have, will you be able to provide two complete setups for the 2 turtles if for some reason they don't get along or in case of illness. Are you going to be able to provide a habitat which consists of at a minimum (if you have 2 males) 180 gallon tank and all the equipment needed. A turtle does NOT need a companion and as they grow older they may have issues with sharing their space.

Also as missibu said, by supporting those sites that have a bad reputation for a high mortality rate of their hatchlings sold, you just encourage them to continue in business. I did check out the site, and the fact that they are selling 3 hatchlings for $19.95 plus S/H should tell you something. In my opinion, those turtles are of little value to those people and are easy to replace.
