Urgent Care :: soft shell in res?

i have a two inch red ear slider and i discovered that his shell near the tail is really soft.when i press it it bends a little...what is it? i dont have a uvb light coz uvb bulb is extrememly hard to find in my country....please help!

At 2 inches a little bend is normal, usually its not until 3inches does then brim of the shell no longer give. So its nothing to worry about.

really? im sooo relieved . but ill try my best to find a uvb bulb!its soft and im super super,worried thank you sooo much! so scared to press the shel imafraid it will break..

You shouldn't need to press down on it anyway. Make sure the food you're using has some vitamin d3 and see if you can get some sun exposure (with complete/constant supervision).

i pressed down on it to check for soft shell...after that then i realised that my turts shell is soft...okay will do thanks
