I'm assuming the ointment contains Vit A. If you used a q-tip instead of the tube, it would keep the tip of the tube from being contaminated, and probably would be cleaner than using your finger.

What kind of lettuce are you feeding your turtle?

well Leo(the eyes closed one) hasn't eaten any yet, but Davie has eaten some romaine lettuce. I got some more fresh stuff tonight. I tried another kind, i think it was red leaf lettuce but i dont remember it having red leaves...it had really wavy ends, but Davie didn't take to it.

yea i can kind of see the contamination, do you think ive slowed the treatment by using the tip of the ointment?! Ill def try a qtip for now on!

Don't know. Just follow the vet's instructions. You might try some of those foods with beta carotene mentioned earlier. You could use a peeler and peel some really thin slices of carrots (like worms) and see if your turtle will eat some of them.

turt looks absolutly healthy to me like people all turts are different. my turts are all a little different.
