recently a friend of mine gave me a 2 inch yellow bellied slider hatch-ling. it was her room mate's. her room mate had it in a 10 G tank with a filter a turtle dock a submersible turtle heater water conditioner and a basking light. but despite all of that her room mate wasn't taking care of it. so my friend took over. she works at a petsmart but still doesn't know everrything and cant take care of the turtle so she gave it to me bcuz i have experience(no i am NOT an expert i just started a few months ago) and CONSTANTLY(almost daily) do research on my turtles and also know pet store owners that have owned and bred THRIVING turtles for many MANY years and i always go to them for top off the line and VERY dependable supllies and advice. he has even began to train me to work at his store and maybe even take over. i KNOW i can offer it a good home.....well at least a better one. they had it for 6 months before they gave it to me. i want to nurse it back to health. its pyrimiding and thats all i can c. now thats not even the worst part. the worst part is that it didnt have a UVB light for the time they had it. im very worried. what can i do? i have him in the tank with my other RES hatchling named Pee Wee:) they get a long as as far as i can c. Im just worried about the fact that he hasnt had any UV rays for more than 6 months. i know that i can nurture it back to health. i have too. it looks at me with a face that says im weak and need your help. i want to give him to my fiance but only until hes 100% healthy. she has 2 THRIVING aquariums and i know that she will do everything right and better to take care of it
....so pls help if you can...
