I live in Surprise AZ. and a few years back I put a 150 gallon pond in the back yard.Recently we have noticed that something in the pond is killing and eating birds.
I've looked online for info if a red eared slider would or could catch and eat them but I haven't found any info.I would drain the pond and remove the slider if I were sure it is in fact the turtle that's doing it. My girl friend found eggs under a palm tree in the yard and she tried to match the eggs with the turtle but said that a friend of hers had matched them with a snake. Now I would have asked what kind of snake but she didn't.Obviously I don't want to stick my legs in it to catch the turtle if it could be a snake that's eating meat.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks John
