okay my boyfriend gave me his bothers right well it has this red ring around his neck and i dont know what it is and i am scared that my other turtle will get it and i got them to start eating

Your boyfrind gave you his brother's turtle that has a red ring around it's neck? Is the ring completely around the neck or just in spots? Is the red area open like a sore? Can you post a picture of the neck area? The redness could be due to a number of things--an infection or an abrasion, for example.

It would have been better not to put the turtle in with your turtle right away and rather quarantine the new turtle for several months in his own set-up so you wouldn't have the worry you have now about your turtle getting the redness.

How big are both turtles (shell lengths without the curves) and what size tank do you have them in?

Try to post a pic of the neck area with the redness...

my turtles are not that much bigger then a quater(like a inch bigger) and i have them in a tank but its not that big i have no money right now to get them a bigger tank and i dont have a cam to take pics but my boyfriend dose so i'll take the pics at his house

I know this is not what you want to hear...but if you have no money...you have no way of properly caring for these babies.

I took in two babes thinking I would be *basicallY* set up since I have a lot of aquarium supplies..and so far I have spent an additional $40 and I am no where done looking for what I REALLY need.

Can you take them back to where they were sold? They were actually sold illegally as well.
