We got Logan (aka Wolverine) Saturday afternoon off kijjji, we felt it was a better deal and could give him a good home. We bought a new large canister filter and a heater. The guy that had him prior was not using a heater.
Logan's shell had lots of alge on it and I scrubbed him with a soft nail brush to get most of it off. My neighbors have a little guy and she said his scutes should not be indented like they were. They are not soft nor do I find any white spots on him. His bottom shell looks great. He is very active and his skin looks good except for one spot on his right read mark (ear area). His mouth is nice and pink and eyes and nose look good!
I took two photos to show what I am curious about but will have to get my hubby to help me post them when he gets home or i can email them on request. From all my reading I think it might be he was not nourished properly.
Will he recover from this issue or will he just have dents and ripples in a few of his scutes?
Any advice will be appreciated!
New turtle mommy!
