Urgent Care :: Bleeding male RES

Hello! i was wondering if anyone might help me understand what is going on. i have 2 4-year-old RES...one male, one female... as of lately they've been pretty aggressive towards each other and I caught the female hurting the male's penis when he was fanning... the male started bleeding and i isolated him... after a few hours he seemed fine and i put him back in the tank..the next day he spent the whole day basking... at around 5 pm he started getting in the water and all was good. after dinner i found that there was blood in the tank again but he was acting fine.i figured the female bit him again. Today he was acting like normal.. I was scared that the same thing would happen so i separated the male and female... they've been separated for about 2 hours and i looked up and there's blood in the water with only the male turtle again. does anyone know why this is happening? is he fanning and then bleeding? he's swimming around and acting ok...

I wish I had an answer for you; I am sure someone who is familiar with this will show up soon.
In the meantime, separating them was a very smart choice!!!

You should head to a vet. A female biting a males penis is never a good thing. Your lucky he didnt prolapse. The damage could be very bad that he is still bleeding. Hes got a good chance for infection. You really need to find a vet.
