My RES went into hibernation/brumation in sept/oct last year. This is not the first time shes done this. She has woken up on occasion, the first year I tried to feed her and she didn't respond. Now she's woken up for the second day in a row, which she did not do in previous years (and she has woken up 2 previous times throughout the months). Her environment is still cold, I'm looking at fog right now.

Should I prepare her tank and allow her to wake up even though it's probably two more months from being warm, or leave her be, not attempt to do anything and let her go back to sleep?

I don't want the poor thing to possibly starve.

Thanks for the input!

Many I'm sure would frown upon this but she is both. Warm sunny days we allow her to wander into the backyard (which we thoroughly secured, we do not have any predators). I have a 100 gal tank, and I do keep her in it a lot but she just hates it.

I live in the East Bay area of San Francisco suburbs, the temperature outside her nest where she hibernates is a reflection of what the temp is outside
