Urgent Care :: Shell problems?

im a little worried about my RES's shell. when its dry, it gets a little white, but i read that can just be minerals. he has a few areas of concern as well. i worry about the tips of his shell, and whether or not it is a deficiency? he also has a tiny little flake of scute that seems to be flaking off, almost like a scab. i would just like everyones opinion on the overall shel health of Milo. heres a few pics

are the tips of his shell supposed to be whitish yellow?

Well, the shell health looks fine i guess but his shell is serverly deformed. The shell doesnt seem smooth, has a rough overall look. He has alot of extra scutes compared to a normal res. Who knows how his shape as an adult might be affected, not sure if the look is also from being deformed. Yes the dips of shell are susposed to be yellow. As for that one little spot that looks like a scute also. It might of accidently come off being so small, not sure.

Will his health be affected by the shell deformation? Is there anything I can do to help it get better?

The shell will always be like that, nothing you can do. His health shouldnt be affected in anyway.

Ok, as long as he's going to be healthy. I'm gonna do all I can to prevent any further shell problems. I took him to the vet and I'm thinking he's gonna be fine

Keep an extra eye on how the shell develops. It looks like they are lifting like when they shed, but it does look a bit abnormal.

I took him to the vet, and she said that his shell should be fine. She gave me some drops for a weekly wash and said that rosewater solution would also improve shell health.
