Thanks for the link, LoA! Yes please for the treatment schedule. Thanks Steve and thanks everyone, I just started the Maroxy treatment to see if it helps. If not, I will switch to the SSC. I also bought the Hirachi wheat germ pellets for KOI yesterday. I wonder if I can feed him the wheat germ daily until he sheds or not. How long will I have to wait to actually see improvement for his shedding and fungus gone?

For the maroxy, I have to look for the treatment. But in the mean time you don't treat the whole tank. You get a container that will reach just over his shell. Do not follow the directions on the maroxy. Instead put one packet into 1 gallon of water. For now you should keep him dry docked for most of the time. Take him and put him in the maroxy solution once a day for 2 hours then dry dock him again without rinsing. Then another time during the day put him in a container of water to eat and defecate for 2 hours. I would do maroxy first thing in the morning and the water in the evening. Rest of the time he is dry docked with a UVB and temps at 80 degrees. You should feed wheat germ pellets in place of some of his regular pellets. He still needs some of his regular pellets for protein and vitamins. The suggestion with maroxy is for a 2 week treatment. If you don't see an improvement in 2 weeks then treat normally for 2 weeks then back to maroxy for another 2 weeks.

Edit: This is the actual treatment. Get a small-to-medium size rubbermaid container and put about 1 gallon of water in it. Empty one dose of the Maroxy into the water. The water should be deep enough to cover the entire turtle, yet large enough the turtle can't escape. Soak the turtle in the medicated water for 14 hours/day. Put in fresh water for 2 hours so the turtle can get a fresh drink and/or eat, then dry dock for 10 hours. The next day, place the turtle back into new medicated water. Repeat daily for 2 weeks then reassess to see how he's doing. Give a week-long break, back in the regular tank (make sure it's crystal clean at all times). If the area hasn't healed, then repeat the Maroxy treatment for another 2 weeks.

How much is one dose of the Maroxy you're referring to?

How do people normally dry dock their turtles? My turtle doesn't like to be dry docked, always try to escape from the bucket.
Moreover, it seems to me that when the turtle is under water for several hours, its shell looks better compares to when dry docking him under the light. It may be just an illusion but I thought I should mention it.

I think he does have a fungal infection. What does fungus like? Moisture. That's why the dry docking. Keep him warm when he's dry docking and give him a towel to hide under if he wishes. Do try to get him UVB light when he's not under his towel and feed the koi pellets as well. Even with the silvadene treatment dry docking is necessary. Unfortunately dry docking is needed for any fungus. Instead of a bucket maybe your can get a rubber maid tote. That will give him room to walk around and something for you to clamp his UVB bulb to.

Since it's limited to a few spots, I would probably try the Silver sulfadinze cream.
