true but the guy we got him from says he hasnt seen him eat for 2 weeks. And no vet will treat him cause they said he too small

i would if a vet would treat him they all said we cant cause hes too small. I tried everything his shell was so soft and squishy

^Baby turtles have naturally palpable shells so some of that is to be expected, from the picture you posted of him basking (with enough energy to kick his leg out...) it really didn't look like anything irreparable... but you're the one who had to care for him everyday, so I'm sure you made the best choice you could.
