My turtle's been sick for quite some time. He started showing signs of a RI a little over 2 months ago. He's a 6 year old RES who lives with another turtle. I've had them seperated ever since I've noticed he's been sick. Anyways, I took my turtle to the vet right away and he was given baytril. I injected him with a dose of baytril for 14 days. After 3 more weeks I saw no improvement, so I took him again. They suggested he have another round of baytril, so I did that. It's been over a month and he's still not better (worse actually). Like I said, I've kept him seperated from my other turtle. He's in a completely dry cage (with heat lamp 8-10 hours each day). I keep the room that he's in nice and warm. Once a day I put him in about 83-86 degree water to offer him food for a little while. He has never eaten though. Every few days I force feed him with a needless syringe while he's in the water. I try to keep the procedure as stress free as possible. He doesn't move really at all both in and out of the water. In the water, he sticks his legs out and just floats. Sometimes he spits up mucous when he first gets in the water. Out of the water he sometimes gasps and has saliva (foamy) come out of his mouth. His eyes are also swollen. I give him vitamin A eyedrops every day or so to try and help with that. He seems like he's in a really bad condition
