I've read this post :
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=22285&p=223789&hilit=mineral+deposit#p223789

and the pictures of the turtle and symptoms sounds like what's happening it my turtle . Some scutes turned white and the scutes that fell off have become like the turtle in the pictures and thread above .

What treatments should i go through . My turtle basks with a reptile UV light everyday for about 10 - 12 hours and is under regular light for about 3 and then at night the lights are off and he sleeps .

If you could, please upload a picture. Does your turtle have a light that specifically says provides UVB?

How bad is the infection? Is it in the early stages or has it been around for awhile?

The white has been there for a while, not too long. But the under layer (that is brown and like the one in the link above) just happened as of this week .

Fungus usually spreads quickly to new scutes. The best bet for treatment is usually silver sulfadiazine cream.

I had to get a prescription for my turtles. I think you can buy some at farm supply stores, but it isn't as strong. The tube I had was like $50, but it was a huge tube for two turtles.
