I've done extensive searching and trying to find answers to this to see if my RES has an RI. So far he shows no symptoms mentioned except for one possible. My concern is this. Sometimes when he dives fast or puts his head under fast he has a tiny bubble on his nostrils that will eventually go away.. I've watched him extensively and haven't seen him blow any bubbles after this initial one. I'm just wondering if anyone else's turtles also have this happen when they dive? He doesn't swim lopsided, he eats very well (sometimes too well lol) and is very active though past couple days I've seen him taking cat naps toward the end of the night (close to the time I shut the lights off). My YBS has also been taking naps too. From what I can tell its whenever they hide while people are in the living room. Maybe bored and fall asleep? Not sure. I already ordered a water heater in preparation for winter coming (florida isn't really cold yet). The water stays at around 76 degrees and basking area is above 90's.
As mentioned above I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen these tiny bubbles on the nostrils of their turtles after diving?
