So I posted on here a month or so ago about my little painted turtle who has finally started shedding her retained scuts. Well I took her out and noticed this didn't look right but have never seen this on any of my turtles before. Any clues? I am wondering if she shed her scutes and maybe pulled it off and it went to the bone. It's not soft and there is no smell and aside from the retained scutes she is perfectly fine. Eating, basking, playing like normal. I have been doing daily sulfer soaks just incase a bacteria got in but it's pretty clean looking and such. Any help is alway appreciated.
