So I've done a ton of searching and trying to find information on this but I've come up with nothing so I thought I'd post on here and see if anyone else has had similar issues. I've got a RES who is probably a little more than a month old (my mother started finding hatchlings in her back yard around June 19th) and since I found it in my mom's pool and started rehabilitating it I noticed while it was swimming that the webbing on its back feet had small holes in it. I'm not sure what did this damage as it was like that since I've started to take care of it. Also one of the claws on his back feet is gone and has not grown back in the time I've had it. I'm not sure if it ran into some trouble with maybe ants or some sort of predator before it found its way into the pool filter.

As for his health hes constantly basking, very strong swimmer (despite the small holes in the webbing on his back feet) and it eats like a piglet if I'm not careful with how much food I put in its Dinner bowl as I like to call it. lol (I feed my turts outside of the tank). So all that aside I guess what I'm wondering is has anyone else had these issues with their feet webbing? And if so will it heal or repair over time?

I will try my best to take pictures of this but its pretty tough on a little turtle to get a clear picture, specially since both of my turtles are squirmy when being held. lol

Perhaps I put this in the wrong forum?

I don't know of anyone who's experienced something similar. I would guess how much grows back depends on the extent of the damage.

Yeah its really odd. I'm surprised nobody else has had something similar. Oh well Booger seems to swim fine regardless, even against the current of the filter.

I dunno. I'm not sure if its genetics (like a defect) or not, its feet look pretty normal, just the webbing doesn't look right. Its so hard to get a pic of it cause Booger is a big of a kicker when being held. lol :P
