Urgent Care :: Swatting head!!!! :(

I got my turtle from my friend 2 days ago It is a red eared slider and sometimes it uses its front legs to swat his head and sometimes he closes his eyes for a long time ( 5 seconds) My turtle is 5 years old, 7 inches, i dont have a tank he lives outside in a kiddie pool ( jsut got him, didnt buy tank yet) he is also not eating annything and it doesnt even like being in the water he is always trying to get out of the water except when he is tired and sleeping

Is he doing that while in the water? If so, it can be the chlorine irritating him. If he's doing it while out of water, he could be a bit dry.

What have you been feeding him?

If he's kept outdoors, make sure he some sort of protection against predators. Raccoons and birds can be problematic.

It could be from the chlorine/chloramines. What's the setup and filtration like?

My turtles water is heavily filtered and he lives in a kiddie pool for now but he doesnt like water even if its new water that i just put, my turtle tries to climb out of the water i:

Do you mean it's filtered tap water or that the pool has a filter? It takes 24hrs for chlorine to dissipate or you'll need something like carbon to remove chloramines.
