Gamera was basking for about 2 hours tonight and when I looked closely at her she has white crust around her eyes. Her shell is looking much better now that they are in a big tank. But I fear there may be other problems.

Anyone got any ideas?

I think it's just minerals/salt from the water and nothing to worry about. Does it disappear as soon as she hits the water?

Yes, it looks like mineral deposits. Is there anything like this on the shell as well? Is your water really hard? How often do you change the water?
