We recently purchased a turtle (Sheldon) from a petstore along with his tank mate Stanley. Stanley has a bit of white marks around his shell but Stanley's shell has totally white edges and his shell looks odd. They hide alot in their hides and I'm not sure I've seen them bask yet on their own. We're getting them their permanent tank really soon by the way, I know their tank is small for now.
