Hi there,

I have read through other posts that might be a similar problem to what I am seeing but I am not really sure. As such, I have posted photos here:

Please have a look and see if you can assist me in identifying the problem.

She is behaving normal and seems in very good health. Happy/playful/hungry. She has a small tank mate - I think Male who is in perfect condition. They get along well.

Turtle is about an inch or so. Had her for around 1 year. Water temp is around 70-73. 28 gallons. Filter. Basking temp - not sure, but warm. Platform - yes. UV light some of the time. Feeding pellets, some veggies, dried shrimp, and some better quality turtle food but not that much on the veggie side.

Would appreciate any direction on whether she is sick or not, and whether the shell needs medication. I am happy to bring her to a vet just need some help on figuring out what the problem is.

Thank you!
Sean

i think that a better pic might help. dry the shell. but in my opinion that might be the first sign of shell rot. does the little one use the dock often or does it stay swimming more?

Hi there, if you click on the photos once or twice, they will enlarge and you can see the details:

She uses the dock quite a bit.

Thanks

Do you mean the yellow line along the top ridge of the shell? That's not considered to be an issue and should darken and become less pronounced over time.
