Hi, I received a pair of RES yesteray as a birthday gift, pretty unexpected and sort of stressed me there. But I'm gonna buy a aquarium etc today. But my two turtles havent ate since yesterday. I was wondering if it was normal. I kept them in warm water, with a normal incendescent lamp for now (going to buy a UV in a few hours with a tank) but they dont seem to eat.

How big are they? Can you answer some of the questions that are linked in my signature?

Most likely they're adjusting to their new environment---it may take a few days before they feel comfortable enough to eat. what are you trying to feed them? If you're not doing so, giving them some privacy with their food may also help (But don't let one hog the food if you feed them together.).

Don't stress---read up on the basics of what they need and concentrate on giving them a good set-up. Once they become more familiar with their surroundings they should come around.
