Hello,
I've got a 9 years old red eared slider. A couple of hours ago I let her out to explore the room. Something scared her and she quickly retrieved to the shell. I noticed circular skin abrasion on her head (about 5mm in diameter) It probably happened because of the shell, cause there are some sharp corners nears the head. There's no blood but I'm so worried What should I do? Is it okay to put her back in water with such abrasion? Please, help!

Welcome. Put a little antibacterial ointment (like Neosporin, if you can get it) on it and keep your RES out of the water for a bit (30 min) to let some of it be absorbed. Do this daily until you see that the wound is healing. Keep the water clean to prevent infection.

Are there any substitutes for Neosporin in case I don't find it in my country?

Neosporin off-brands are usually called "triple antibiotic ointment". It's basically antibiotics in a vaseline type gel.

I think the other version is called polysporin.

Is it okay to use Hydrogen peroxide in such cases? Or tea tree oil as antiseptic? Just wondering.

The wound I wrote about healed and became almost invisible but this morning I woke up and noticed white stain on that place What's that?

Does the white area look like a scab? Sometimes it takes a bit for the color to return...

I've never used hydrogen peroxide or tea tree oil, although I know the latter has antibacterial properties. I have cleaned wounds with either chlorohexidine or a saline solution, though.

No, it looks like a scab fell off. But I can't understand why that area is white now :/

It is possible that it could be a pigmentation issue - example: You burn yourself, it fully heals in a few weeks, yet the skin remains purple for months after.

Another possibility is the scab fell of to be replaced with another, can happen for various reasons - most benign
