Urgent Care :: My water turtle is sick

My water turtle is real sluggish, I noticed the tempature was down to 72 degrees...he looked like he was stuck between rocks...when I took him out of the water he wouldn't move his legs...he would open and close his eyes...also his penis kept coming out. I put him against my body to warm him up which seemed to help a little but he still isn't walking. this is a spring turtle from Arkansas who is 20 years old. Please advise what I should do until I can find a vet who treats reptiles....there are 3 other turtles in tank and they seem to be fine.

He is still alive today and walking around so I am a bit more hopeful

You could try a soak of 1/2 clear pedialyte and 1/2 water- warmed. It seems to help after stress.

Maybe he was stuck and got some water in him? I hope not, but good to hear that he is doing better

What do you mean by "spring turtle", is it a red ear slider? Are the other turtles the same species?
