Started from yesterday, my red ear slider kept sneezing. Other than that, she's fine(eating, basking, energetic).
I think she might catch a cold when I let her walk around the house.
What disease would it be if the only symptom is sneezing?
and What should I do?
(the water temperaure was 82F and the same thing for the basking area.
I raised it to 86F for water right now.)

Thanks!!

Why do you let her walk around? What's the temperature around your place like?

As for sneezing, was it only for a short time... like a jerky movement or is it a reoccurring symptom?

i thought she would like it.
she sneezed less today and yesterday than on Fri.
like couple of times today.
Is this considered a reoccuring symptom?

Those are only observed, right? Does this only happen during basking?

If it's winter where you are and your house temp is on the cool side, it would be better to let her stay in the tank rather than walk around. Aside from a cooler temp, perhaps she picked up some dust walking around.

86F is too warm for the water. The basking area should be about 10 degrees higher than the water temp. I'd set the water temp at 80F and the basking area 89 - 90F for the time being.

I only saw her sneezed several times when shes basking.
But i sometimes hear "purr" when shes in the water, like she sneezed in the water or sth.
is it possible that a turtle sneeze in water and make that kind of sound?

Not really.
She did it in the water. It's hard to describe the sound. It sounds like a rippling when you throw a rock into the water.
It would occurred to me as she's playing in the water if I didn't hear she sneezed(only a few times) when basking.
So, I am wondering if that sound was made when she sneezed in water.

Sorri for the confusion. I have had a hard time to describe it! :)

If you are talking in general, yes, she's eating, basking, and energetic.
But shes making that kind of sound(i would say ten times a day) when shes in water.
So weird~
