I've had this adult 7" x 7" red ear slider for two months right now. She was very active when first got into the house, like crawling around the room. I first fed her frozen fishes and pellets, and sometimes cabbages. She loves eating them. but later, i read the nutrition part on this website and found out that she shouldn't be fed with these food, so I changed her diet with pellets every other day and lecttuce everyday. I just started the new diet this month. She loves eating pellet, but is not interested in lecttuce, so I tried to soak lettuce in tuna soup, and she ate some of them.
Here comes the problem! About two weeks ago, she started basking and sleeping a lot whether the spotlight is on or not and less active when put in the room. However, she still had a good appetite. But today, when I tried to feed her pellet, she refused to take them! It has never happened!!She just showed no interested in them at all. and then I tried one frozen fish, she opened her mouth and ate it!
the water and room temperature is fine, and clean water. but I think the size of the tank and the level of water is not enough for her. Is that what caused her to be inactive and lose her appetite? [color=#0040FF]Or are these symptoms of some diseases?Oh, when she sleeps, she would lay her head down on the rock, is that normal?
I highlighted my concerns, Please Help me answer them! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!
