Urgent Care :: HELP MY TURTLES PLEASE BLACK SPOT ON HEAD

Hi I could really use some help I've had my turtles for 5 years and they have been pretty healthy but recently I have noticed this black spot over the red stripe on his head which has seemed to have grow a bit. there is nothing I've found online and to get any answers from about a black spot. the vets around my area charge an arm and a leg just for advice. Can some one please help my buddie Smalls out he may be sick? thankyou.

Are you able to post any pictures of the black spot and surrounding area for us to look at?

Also if he's a male he might be getting melanistic. Some males turn almost completely black as they age which could be what is going on with yours. Awaiting pics to be sure tho.
