My slider (about 2 yrs old) had an eye infection last winter. I treated him, and he recovered, but the other one outgrew him, as he stopped eating during the infection. Since then, every time I feed him, he eats like a maniac, and that's at least three times a day. He started growing real fast, and I am worried about his shell. He has some (not so deep, but still) cracks in the joints of the... I don't know how they are called, the shell pieces (the bottom of the shell is worse)... And started pyramiding a bit.
Also, there are really, really tiny green dot-groups on his shell (especially in the cracks) that I clean all the time, he doesn't like the cleaning part (I do it with a soft children's toothbrush), I don't even know if I am hurting him :S Those mini-green-dot-things first started appearing on the rocks in the tank, but I boiled them, and the rocks now remain clean. What to do?
