The current set up is 10 gallons. The turtles are 2-2.5" inches long, I will get the supplies I need this week.
The water is filled about 3 inches. The turtles were the same size last month, now one has grown and the other has stayed the same, one has a white patch/line on its shell.
These guys have been eating nothing but pellets since their arrival.
I want to know is it normal for the turtle to have a white line on its shell and to be very dark green?
I also wanted to know with how much water should the tank be filled with?

Good Morning!

These guys have been eating nothing but pellets since their arrival.
Question- How many pellets each? The general rule is as much as would fit in their head, Not head and neck, every day at that age.
If one is growing and the other is not, one may be hogging most of the food, you may need to feed them separately. I had to do that with mine for a while, until Shiloh realized she liked her food and was willing to push back a little and get her share.

It is normal for them to be very dark green. The white line could be a number of things. It looks like it might be from rubbing the shell against something, again mine did that for a while now they're too big to fit behind the dock supports they were rubbing against. Or it could be something like mineral deposits, or a fungi. Could you get a good picture of it dry?

For right now, leave as is. They do need more water though. Is a basking dock of some sort on your shopping list? Once you have a place for them to come completely out of the water and dry off, then fill the tank as high as you can without letting them escape out the top. Also, because they are babies, they will need areas close to the surface to rest on, so they can stay in the water but reach up to breathe.

If you can afford all the supplies at once, which is great, look into getting a bigger tank too. They will quickly outgrow the 10gal. Most people on here advocate 10gal per inch of turtle, and they grow fast in the first year or so. Eventually you will need about 100gal or more for them, depending on their gender. A too small tank will get dirtier faster and be hard to maintain, also the turtles might fight each other. They might fight each other anyway, but, lots of space helps.

What is your shopping list for supplies?

BityBits pretty much said it all.
Try filling up their tank at the highest point without them be able to escape. It looks like your turtle rubbed his shell onto something do you have any rocks or rough items in your tank? And you should really look into getting a much bigger tank.

Well, I too would advise you to buy a bigger tank along with all the other equipment, since some of it, esp. the filter and the heater are tank-size dependant, therefore they'd become useless once you buy a bigger tank (pretty soon, trust me, these turtles grow up really fast).
