Recently got a baby yellow belly, and i was in the process of switching basking lights. I switched from those turtle killing, falsly advertised repti sun things to a mega ray. However, my turts had to go without a light for 3 weeks. I had a heat bulb so they would bask, but now i'm facing the consequences. My older female turtle has improved drastically since the addition of the new mega ray. My little man on the other hand has a very soft shell, compared to his hard shell when i first got him. I'm trying to supplement calcium as much as i can, but it's hard with a turtle his size. My older female has custom made jello shots that have lots of calcium in them.
Any advice or suggestions would help. They both bask PLENTY, and the sick turtle shows no other abnormal behaviors. Eats fine, swims fine, basks a lot. How long should i expect to wait until the shell is hardened?
