Part of keeping multiple turtles housed together is also keeping the extra equipment handy in case of an emergency. At the very least, you could have positioned the heat lamp over the bowl to keep the wounded turtle warm. The turtle in the tank would have been fine without it for a bit. Turtle keeping is all about problem solving.

It's not my fault if you feel guilty after reading what I wrote, but if you took my post as an intentional "guilt trip" then you missed the point.
