Urgent Care :: My turtle is sick!! Please help

Not sure what is going on with my res.. He is vomiting and not sure if he is chocking... He's under water and sticking his head out reall far and looks like he is dry heeving.. I fed him carrots the other day for the first time i see that just came up.. Anyone who can help?

Ok things seem a bit better. I never seen that happen and talk about scary!! All the carrots just came up.. I can say if my res makes it NO more carrots!! I just changed the water and hope all will be ok!

Did you feed pieces of carrot? If so, perhaps one got lodged in the throat. if you change your mind and try them again, try carrot peels. I make mine long and wiggly like worms. :D

I don't know how often your're feeding carrots, but I wouldn't give them more than weekly unless you're giving small amounts (like a peel or two).

Thank you Marisa you are always the one to answer my ?? :) I did cut them up into little chunks.. But I fed them to her tuesday could it have been lodged all this time? I noticed this morning that she had not pooped after eating and thought that was strange then when i fed her this evening thats when she started throwing up.. I did clean her tank and waited about an hr and fed her just a little while ago and she pooped and is now acting like her self :) I really thought wow here I changed her diet and now I just killed her :( What my newphew has been feeding her for the last 2 years is nutrafin max. Maybe I should stick to that.. Thank you again. I'm really trying to make this res happy
