Update: He's dead. He shriveled up and his eyes are gone. R.I.P Zosimos, first turtle to die under my care.
I'm going to try to take care of his sibling 'Yechiach' as best as I can. I try to give my pets names with meanings to them.

1 Ouachita Map Turtle 4.0'' (Hurricane)
The rest of the turtles have been adopted to good homes. :)

It happens! sometimes we just think of our pets as humans. We think that they can fight off certain infections, defend themselves etc etc. but we just fail to realize it because of our own subjectivity. We've all made stupid mistakes as pet owners ... just as parents do. We also take on more than we think we can. I'm sure noobempty has a better insight now.

As for your turtle, I really hope the best for his recovery but to be honest it doesn't look that positive.

I'm really nervous now since Slyder is a "killing animal" now. (S)he dominates the tank because (s)he's the first to get food and the other turtles just back off except for the false and killed this little thing and also caught a bunch of fishes I put in. I'll be keeping an eye on him/her. At least I don't need to worry about him/her starving anymore.

If you think about it, they're all "killing" animals. turtles are omnivorous. They'll eat meat and vegetables just like we do. Circle of life and such.

I know but I never expected mine to be like this though. Need to keep an eye on him or else everything in the tank will be gone.

jojo is like that too. he's very territorial .. i tried to bring in another turtle so he has company. it didn't work out.. he was snapping at the poor thing..it happened twice. sometimes some turtles are just better of being alone.. especially when they are used to getting all the attention.
also i think size makes a difference..the turtles i put in were smaller compared to jojo.

It's alright. His brother is doing fine though. He's about the size of Slyder (my first turtle) when I just got him. He's feeding well and loves splashing me awake at night for food. He's grown about .2 inches since the original post.
